CFD - Computational Fluid Dynamics - CFD Simulation and Analysis Project

In continuum mechanics, fluid mechanics to form one large branch. Fluid mechanics begins with the same principles of solid mechanics, but what distinguishes them from one another, this is a fluid unlike solids are not able to withstand shear stress. Knowing this, it is planned equations for fluid motion analysis. This equations to respect both the British and the French mathematician called Navier-Stokes equations. CFD - Computational Fluid Dynamics - in fact is solve the Navier-Stokes equation for the small size of the original model. In this way the total desired volume is divided into very small volumes in operation meshing and after applying the boundary conditions, the equation is solved for all elements. 

CFD has been playing an increasingly important role in HVAC and ventilation, following its continuing development for over a quarter of a century. The information provided by CFD can be used to check the impact of building exhausts to the environment, to predict smoke and fire risks in buildings, to quantify indoor environment quality, and to design natural ventilation systems.

PyroSim and FDS Simulations

PyroSim is a graphical user interface for the Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS). PyroSim helps companies to create and manage the details of complex fire models.
PyroSim and FDS are both using as main software to simulate the fire reaction in different environments like Building, parking lot, Subway, Tunnel, Cinema, Commercial office complex  and …
Using PyroSim we could define smoke detectors and sprinklers in 3D model, in order to examine the current design in case of fire with both software.
Meanwhile it is possible to link PyroSim results with Pathfinder software which is advanced movement simulation combined with high-quality 3-D animated results, gives reliable answers.

Computational Fluid Dynamics- CFD- in terms of the overall trend is similar to static and dynamic FEM analysis. Both methods are used to solve a much smaller element than the original model.

Today, with increasing computer processing speeds, CFD and FEM analyzes have found a special place in the design and failure analysis. Important things that can be calculated in Computational Fluid Dynamics:

Plot speed, temperature, and fluid pressure at any point of the model

Plots and counter the speed, temperature, and fluid pressure in the interior and exterior surfaces

Calculation of speed, temperature, and pressure at different levels and volumes
